This antique drum is a unique piece from the 19th century, believed to have been used during the Civil War Era. The drum is made of wood and tin materials, with rope tension fastenings. Its multi-color design and Americana style make it a great addition to any collection of primitive antiques and memorabilia. The date of creation is currently unknown, but it is believed to be an original piece. It is perfect for display and is sure to be a conversation starter.   The drum is not currently  fully assembled  as the rope and fastenings are dry.  One leather tensioner has torn, but the tensioner is still functional.   I am not positive  as to the exact date or story of this item, but it has been in our family and I know came at least from my great grandmother or an earlier generation.
