c. 1968, with no later dates or further printing history.  Contains 388 numbered pages, and illustrated with photos of the author, and reproductions of illustrations from the original 1902 edition. Part of the Dodd, Mead & Company's Great Illustrated Classic series [see back of dust jacket for additional titles in the series].

This rust-colored cloth hardcover is an ex-college library book with the usual stamps and markings, some neatly removed.  Otherwise, in good+ condition with no scribblings, markings or owner's names.  Spine and binding are complete and all pages are secure. Book is generally clean and fresh with bright pages, showing no rips or tears.  A bit of minor edge and corner wear to cover boards ~ some tape "shadow" from where the dust jacket was affixed.   Colorful dust jacket is in good-minus condition with nicks and scuff to spine edge, which is lightly sunned; it is price-clipped.
