This is one of the original mountain bikes. Purchased in the early 80's and ridden as a commuter, raced, and ridden off-road for fun.   The original wheels are gone, but I believe everything else is original. It is currently not ridable as it's a bit frozen, but it wouldn't take much to get going again. Or use for parts.
