Interesting selection of two different original vintage BEA British European Airways photos of Sir Winston Churchill and BEA aircraft. The first shows a Vickers Viscount and has a handwritten caption by aviation historian John Stroud - “Sir Winston Churchill disembarking from Sir Hugh Willoughby (G-AMOI) at London Airport Central on arrival from Sicily (Catania) Tuesday 26th April 1955 at the end of his holiday after retiring as Prime Minister” it measures approximately 20.5cm x 22cm and also has a BEA stamp to the rear. The second photo shows a Airspeed Ambassador AS.57 Elizabethan and again has a handwritten caption by aviation historian John Stroud - “Sir Winston and Lady Churchill at Heathrow with Peter Masefield” There is also the April 1955 issue of BEA Magazine with Sir Winston on the front cover. OK condition, with wear.
