This large map book measures 15 by 11 1/2 inches and has 539 pages. It is in POOR condition. There is heavy wear on the decorative gray and brown cloth board covers and on the spine edges. The cover is loose from the pages and the front flyleaf page is loose from the book (see photos 2 and 8). Overall, the interior is clean but some maps in the front section have edge wear (see photo 4). However, all other pages are free from writings, marks or stains.

George F. Cram, the author, was not only a map publisher but also a Civil War veteran who marched with Sherman’s army. His expertise and dedication shine through in this meticulously crafted atlas, making it a valuable historical resource.
