FRUiTS, a photo magazine on Harajuku Street, is one of the most influential and acclaimed magazines in the world of Japanese street fashion. Launched in 1997 by photographer Shoichi Aoki to capture the creative fashion spirit of Harajuku in photographs, it laid the foundation for the global recognition of Japanese street fashion. Although it ceased publication in 2017, this magazine, which continues online, serves as a guide to introduce all Japanese street fashion to the world. PHAIDON PRESS published a carefully selected photo collection of FRUiTS' coordinates, and thanks to its English version, this photo collection reached readers worldwide. This is how many people outside of Japan came to know FRUiTS. When thinking about Harajuku fashion, FRUiTS should always come to mind first!
