1. Gemmy Green Fluorite Crystal Cluster Display Specimen - Rogerley Mine, Weardale

A superb display specimen of Flourite from classic Rogerley Mine in Weardale. The specimen has well formed rich deep green Fluorite crystals up to 8mm. Most of the crystals are gemmy and twinned.The crystals show a dark purple core in natural light.

As is typical of most Weardale Fluorites, there is a difference in colour between natural and artificial light due to its property of fluorescing under UV light and the pictures show the crystal under both types of light for comparison (the last 9 photos are in natural light).

The Fluorite crystals measure up to 8mm on the longest edge. The cluster as a whole measures 4.5 x 4.5 x 3cm and weighs 69g. (All weights and measures are approximate).

This piece comes from a from a lifelong collector of minerals who mainly self-collected from all over the world and the UK, and he collected this specimen in 1991.

2. Herkimer Diamond Floater Twin Crystal Specimen - Ace of Diamonds Mine, Middleville, NY State, USA

This is a superb quality example of Herkimer Diamond floater crystals from the Ace of Diamonds Mine in New York state, USA. The crystals are approximately 10mm and 7mm in length, have superb clarity, are double terminated and are beautifully sat in the cavity on the matrix. It is a particularly fine example of this unique type of Quartz.

The piece weighs 176g and measures 6.5cm x 5.5cm x 3.5cm. (All weights and measures are approximate)
