A common problem on the TD124 is that of surplus oil spilling out of the top of the main bearing housing. It makes a mess and damages the paint on the chassis leading to the common crazed and cracked paint usually seen in this area.
I designed these felt pads to help absorb these oil spills. They're made from 3mm thick natural felt and are very absorbent.
Simply lift out the spindle and then fit the felt pad over the top of the bearing housing.
Once saturated in oil they can be cleaned and reused.
