Pierre Dehaye, born the May 24, 1921 in Saint-Pol-sur-Mer (North) and died on April 16, 2008 in Paris , is a writer and senior French civil servant.
Holder of a law degree, Pierre Dehaye spent his entire career at the Ministry of Finance in the central administration, before being appointed to the direction of currencies and medals of Paris in 1962.
Of at , he is a member of the board of directors of the ORTF then, from 1972 to 1974, President of the International Conference of Medal Directors. From 1973, he joined, as a member, the Committee of the Francophonie, and became treasurer of the French Association for the national celebrations.
In 1963, he created the Bulletin of the French Medal Club, of which he takes the direction and the editor-in-chief. With the Monnaie de Paris, he organized twenty-five exhibitions1.
