Starting around 2021, Russian tanks equipped with slat armor on top of the turret will begin to appear.
- The additional armor that resembles a wire mesh umbrella is called [Coop Cage Armor] or [Birdcage Armor].
- Initially, it was thought to be designed to protect against attacks from above (top attacks) by missiles such as the Javelin, but in reality it proved to be ineffective against anti-tank missile attacks.
