Offered for sale is this nice naval cover of the USS Antares from 1933.  It has the corner card of Captain L.N. Wertenbaker and is addressed to Lt. Comdr A.S. Freedman of the USS Beaver.  A 3c Washington is attached over the penalty imprint and it has an irregular three bar postmark "U.S.S. Antares Base Force U.S. Fleet".  A purple handstamp next tot he USS Beaver address reads Pearl Harbor T H.  During this time, the Beaver was a tender for submarines in the Pacific area.  This will make a nice item for a collection of naval postal history.
