This really lovely meerschaum pipe has fancy gold plated mounts, a bulldog bowl and a square, amber shaft. On the front of the bowl is an inscription that reads "John Martin, from Boston Friends", who's that we wonder? The collar also has 1896 engraved into it, both sides at the peak of the square shaft. There is an old, sound hair line crack in the amber stem but there's still a very clear airway. This super pipe comes with its own dedicated black leather case which has gold velvet lining.
