Dura 2 is the most common pad shape and fits most brake pads holders like tektro Shimano and SRAM. These are the harder all weather extreme riding conditions pads for cycle cross and road racing. Great for gravel bikes with rim brakes too.

Carbon is referring to the rubber material themselves, I believe, not the rim type. Kool Stop makes their carbon rim specific pads in dark green.
