Up for sale is Nancy Drew “The Quest of the Missing Map” by Carolyn Keene! This is the nineteenth volume in the Nancy Drew Mystery Stories series. This is a vintage hardcover book with a 1942 copyright date that was published by Grosset and Dunlap in 1954 complete with its original dust jacket! The book has blue tweed covers with navy blue illustrated “Digger” endpapers, and the top edge of the book is black. The book contains the original twenty-five chapters with a frontispiece illustration by Russell Tandy inside. The front dust jacket flap lists to Nancy Drew #31 The Ringmaster’s Secret, the back dust jacket flap lists the Cherry Ames series books through to #15 Rest Home Nurse, and the back of the dust jacket lists the Dana Girls series books through to #15 The Secret of the Jade Ring. The internal book list is to Nancy Drew #30 The Clue of the Velvet Mask and the Dana Girls series books through to #15 The Secret of the Jade Ring. As shown in the photos, the book is in very good condition for its age with some shelf wear and light soiling. The cover is in nice shape with a little light soiling and possibly some slight bowing of the boards. The dust jacket is in good condition with some light soiling, including a light water stain, a few small tears, some chipping, and no clipped corners as shown. The book is complete and remains well bound. It has generally clean pages with no writing, creases, rips, or tears. There may be a few small light stains and a little light foxing or spotting inside. This vintage Nancy Drew book is hard to find with its original dust jacket… it would make a great addition to your collection!
