Wow, this really is one of the best meerschaum pipes we've seen! The carving is exquisite depicting a blue eyed parrot with wings spread landing on a branch with leaves and fruit.

It comes with its own dedicated black leather case which is lined with blue velvet and silk. Embossed onto the top of the case, in faded gold, is the following logo: "Exhibition 1873 Vienna" with two medallions.

This truly is an excellent example of craftsman's work.

It does have some very sympathetic, old repairs. The amber stem is fixed in place and has some infill. The parrots right wing tip and one of the leaves have been repaired but these, along with the amber work, are extremely well done and not really noticeable.

The overall length of the pipe measures about 7 1/8", say 180mm

This is a brilliant example of a meerschaum pipe that would enhance any collection.
