Into the Wilderness: The Art of Stephen Lyman

This is a true First Edition hardcover book, signed by the artist on a limitation page at the front of the volume. 

There are no inscriptions or other names, making the book an ideal  gift for an art collector or nature lover.

The book contains many of the nostalgic paintings of rural US life that are a hallmark of Stephen Lyman's ' most treasured paintings and photographs.

Lyman is an American artist best known for his wilderness landscapes, and candid portraits of birds and animals. 

The book is in near Fine condition. There is no writing or ownership marks anywhere in the book (aside from the artist's signature), no tears, no underlining and no library marks. Binding is robust, front and rear covers are cloth covered with a color image superimposed. The binding is sturdy, inside pages are clean, and there are no signs of shelf wear.  

The collectible volume was not issued with a separate dust jacket. Instead, the publisher chose to produce a fitted slipcase to protect the book from outside damage. The slipcase has done a great job of keeping the book inside in pristine condition, and has only some surface fading and a few handling marks.  

Size is 10.5 inches by 10.5 inches with 180 pages.
