Crowned arms of France., Cross with batonned arms and fleur-de-lys ends., Graded GENI UNC BENT. This Ecu dated 1632 for the Saint-Lô mint is an absolute rarity! In an excellent condition, with very few traces of circulation, this coin is a rare variety of the Ecu d'or of Louis XIII where the arms of the cross on the reverse are battoned, one of the particularities of this mint; and we recognise another characteristic of the Saint-Lô mint with the reverse legend starting at 6h. This coin is exceptional in its engraving, its state of preservation, and its rare type, but also for its vintage, for which the quotations for this date/workshop are not currently referenced in the Gadoury (G. 55), testifying to the rarity of this specimen and at the same time its interest in a numismatic collection. Reverse legend VINCIT·ET·IMP., LVDOVICVS·XIII·D:G·FRAN·ET·NAVA·REX (Star), ·CHRISTVS·REGNAT·VINCIT·ET·IMP·1632 (Lion's head)
