T his   FINEST ROYAL VIENNA PLATE    is  PAINTED  -  depicting following scene at middle area:

ARTEMIS   (ROMAN:  DIANA), GODDESS OF MOON AND HUNT, ACCOMPANIED BY FEMALE COMPANION   |   ARTEMIS   (RÖMISCH: DIANA),  GÖTTIN DES MONDES UND DER JAGD, VON EINER GEFÄHRTIN BEGLEITET   

Diana was a major Roman goddess principally associated with MOON, HUNT and BIRTH, the equivalent of the Greek goddess Artemis.  
DIANA was called by the Romans  GODDESS OF MOON - therefore she is very often painted or sculptured as figurine having a crescent moon in hair:  The goddess is depicted here in this way - with crescent in hair. Next to heer feet there is Eagle of Zeus visible.

Diana gehörte zu den Hauptgöttinen auch in römischer Zeit, stets mit  MOND, JAGD   und GEBURT  assoziiert, sie ist das Äquivalent zur griechischen Göttin Artemis.  
DIANA wird von den Römern   GÖTTIN DES MONDES   genannt  - daher ist sie sehr oft in Malerei und Bildhauerei als Gestalt mit einer Mondsichel im Haar dargestellt, wie es auch hier bei diesem Teller der Fall ist. Zu ihren Füssen ist der  Adler des Zeus zu sehen.

It is a   HIGHEST QUALITY PICTURE PAINTING  depicting  DIANA, accompanied by   WINGED CHERUB OF LOVE and FEMALE COMPANION.  The plate's edge is abundantly decorated by stylized golden painted patterns laid on multicoloured ground;  further a stunningly made golden border surrounds the picture.
