This rookie card from 1965 is a rare souvenir documenting the start of one of the most legendary football careers of all time: Franz Beckenbauer's (and Bayern Munich's) first year in the Bundesliga. The iconic player is one of the greatest personalities in German football and holds two World Cup titles: as a player and as a successful coach.

Since these vintage cards were intended to be glued into collector albums, they are usually damaged on the back. In contrast, our card was rated a very good "Near Mint" 7 by the PSA (the world's largest company for authenticity testing and grading of trading cards). This means that it may not be in pristine condition, but as a vintage card it’s a true gem: there are only four cards with a PSA 7 grading and only seven cards with a higher grade.
