The back of the neck is longer then the front of the neck.
The back of neck from top of shoulders to bottom of head measure: 7/8"

My folks sold dolls/doll accessories in their hobby store from 1965-1971. After they quit selling dolls in the store what was left was boxed up and stored away. This doll has been stored away for 50+ years.
