The Beastie Boys Story, a documentary film by filmmaker Spike Jonze, their longtime friend and co-writer, chronicles the intimate and personal story of the Beastie Boys and their 40-year friendship.

The film was released to coincide with the 26th anniversary of the release of the Beastie Boys' 1994 masterpiece, "Ill Communication," more than 25 years after he directed the much-talked-about music video "Sabotage," Spike Jonze's first collaboration with the Beastie Boys, Spike Jones collaborated with the Beastie Boys.
