This is a scarce set of a cocktail shaker and six matching tumblers produced by Hazel Atlas of Wheeling, West Virginia, USA as the Sportsman series in the 1940s.

The shaker and glasses are in excellent condition for their age.  They show the age related wear and tear to the rims of the bases consistent with some years of use.

The set was blown in clear glass and then enamelled with slightly whimsical riders and hounds.  The tumblers are roughly cylindrical and measure 6 cm (2.4 inches) in diameter at the drinking rims.  They are 7.8 cm (3.1 inches) in height.  The cocktail shaker has a white metal removeable lid with a pouring spout and measures 9.3 cm (3.7 inches) in diameter at the pouring rim.  The shaker is 25.5 cm (10.2 inches) tall.  There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any evidence of restoration.  The stamp for Hazel Atlas (an "A" beneath an "H") is stamped into the bases.

The set weighs in at 1.55 kg. (~ 3 lb. 7 oz.).
