DescriptionUp for sale is an Antique Bodleian Library (Oxford) Postcard from the early-1900s! This is a very rare antique British postcard featuring a photograph of the “Chair made from timber of the Golden Hind, in which Sir Francis Drake sailed round the World, 1577-80. Presented in 1668.” The postcard was printed by the Oxford University Press circa 1910! As shown in the photos, this vintage postcard is in very good condition for its age with a little light soiling. It is completely unused and has never been mailed. The postcard lies flat with very little edge or corner wear and no writing, creases, rips, or tears. This rare vintage Bodleian Library postcard would make a great addition to your collection!
