Vintage March 1954 “Fortune” Magazine! How Are We Fixed for Water?

Description

Up for sale is a Vintage March 1954 “Fortune” Magazine! This rare vintage magazine features many articles, photos, and classic advertising inside, including Mr. Benson’s Flexible Flyer, The Twilight of American Woolen, Gold: Down But Not Out, Webb & Knapp and Zeckendorf, How Are We Fixed for Water?, Col. Rockwell and the Companies He Keeps, George Maverick Bunker of Glenn Martin, United Sound and Signal Co. in Columbia PA, and several more. The magazine features classic cover artwork by Walter H. Allner. This is a large thick magazine with 212 pages and stiff covers, measuring about 13” x 10¼”, with a cover price of $1.25 at a time when other magazines were only 5 or 10 cents. As shown in the photos, the magazine is in very good condition with some cover wear, creasing, and light soiling. The magazine remains well bound with a slight slant and some wear at the top of the spine as shown. I believe it is complete, but it is possible that one or two pages may have been neatly removed by the original owner. The magazine has generally clean pages with no writing or large rips or tears. There is some light creasing and possibly a few small edge or bindery tears. This vintage Fortune magazine would make a great addition to your collection!

Please take a look at the photos to best judge condition. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the Fortune magazine, pictures or shipping before bidding. Please pay within 3 days of auction end, and I’ll ship the magazine ASAP, usually within 2 days of payment received.

Thanks for looking!

Terms of Sale

Thank you for your business! Every item I sell is guaranteed to be as described, and I do everything possible to provide 5 STAR service. If you are satisfied, please leave 5 Star positive feedback. If you are not fully pleased, let me know if there is anything I can do to improve the transaction before leaving any feedback. Almost all items are vintage: they were purchased at estate sales/auctions, yard/garage sales or flea markets, and are sold “as found”; the history of previous ownership and storage conditions of the items is unknown, and I have no idea if a previous owner smoked or had pets. I do not accept returned items simply because you’ve changed your mind. Shipping & Handling charges are not refundable. Attention International Customers: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s Customs Office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. I do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as “gifts” since US and international government regulations prohibit such behavior.
