This is Greco EG800C from the Super Real period. After repairing my main unit, I got carried away and bought a lot of guitars, but I ended up running out of money, so I decided to put it up for sale. Now that the EGF1800 with a solid top has become a scary price, I think this model is the best buy. The tops of the 850, 1000, and 1200 are glued, and the bottom of the glued tiger is like 5 pieces of maple (I've actually seen it), which is not good for mental health, but this one has a solid solid top. As you can see in the image, you can also see some flames. The only difference from the EGF series is the head angle, and the wood used and material composition are also the same. Also, this one uses a Jacaranda fingerboard according to the catalog specs, so I think it's a good deal if you don't care about DRY pickups or the original condition. Weight is approximately 4300g. As for the basis for stating that it is a Jacaranda fingerboard, ★Unlike Indian rose, it has a smooth, resin-like feel to the touch. ★The appearance of the wood grain changes depending on the lighting, and there are more straight grains than Indian roses. ★I previously owned a high-end model of EGF and have actually confirmed the Jacaranda fingerboard used by Fujigen at the time. I am judging from. It has a lot of fuzz due to long years of use since I got it, but I think you can see the characteristics of Jacaranda in the high position of the 6th string even from the image. If you correct the fingerboard when replacing frets, you will be able to see the original feel and wood grain more clearly. I'm sure it's Jacaranda, but please check the images carefully and make your final bid based on your own judgment. We will do our best to add detailed images, so please feel free to contact us from the question section. This is an individual that has undergone many modifications as shown below, and has also experienced a broken neck. Please check the product description carefully before making a bid. ①Peg, bridge, tailpiece All have been replaced with current Goto products. The tailpiece is made of aluminum. Original parts and a bonus Goto tailpiece made of die-cast zinc are also included. Some of the original pegs had slightly bent shafts, but they worked well. ②About the electrical system All original assemblies were removed and converted to 1v1t. The upper switch is a decoration, and the lower silver switch switches the PU. The pot is a Dunlop Super pot, the jack is a Puretone, and the capacitor is a Zenith. The front PU is a custom-made wide range PU from a British manufacturer called House of Tone, and the rear is a DiMarzio PAF from the late 70's. The PU alone cost about 40,000 yen, so I think it's a good deal. In addition, conductive paint (FE-107) is applied to the PU cavity and control panel, and vintage wiring materials and solder obtained from a certain place are used. There is no problem with the operation itself as it is an amateur work, but if you are concerned about it, please correct it or change it back to 2V2T. It is possible to remove the conductive paint with lacquer thinner, but since the guitar itself is lacquered, you will need to be careful when doing this. ③Around the neck The nut had been replaced by an amateur since I got it, and the frets were also worn out, so I replaced the nut with a cow bone one myself, and I thought I had to replace the frets anyway, so I rubbed them together. Currently it is playable normally without any chatter, but since it is such a nice guitar, I think it would be better to exchange it after winning the bid. The string height is 12F, the 6th string is set at 1.75mm, and the 1st string is set at 1.5mm. It has a fairly thick 58-like neck shape, and is probably about 26mm on 12F, making it a solid neck. It has been confirmed that the rod also works on the left and right sides. ④About the drawbacks 1.The head part is about 1mm thicker than a typical LP type guitar, and the length of the peg post will be slightly shorter if it is a Kluson type. Therefore, I embedded the bush itself into the peg hole and forcibly installed the Krewson type (Goto SD90). Tuning is quite stable for some reason, probably because the shaft itself is firmly fixed and difficult to move. However, as mentioned below, the sound has changed considerably compared to the original waffle back type. 2.As mentioned earlier, the broken neck has been repaired. At the time of purchase, I heard that the work was done by a professional, and it is actually quite well glued. Although this does not pose a problem with the rigidity of the neck itself, please refrain from bidding if you are nervous. 3. I made a scratch on the fingerboard when rubbing the frets together. It can be fixed with a soldering iron and wet cotton, but if you are concerned, please consult a repairman. I think it can be repaired for a few thousand yen, and it will disappear if you fix the fingerboard. ⑤About the sound When I got it, it had a sound that was typical of Greco from the Super Real era, and sounded a lot like a Gibson, but after making various modifications, it became like a wide-bodied Jazzmaster sound. The front PU has an inductance of 2.7H, which is about the same as a single coil with a little more power, and the rear DiMarzio PAF is a humbucker type that produces a sudden midrange sound, similar to the P90 rather than a pure PAF type. Therefore, I think that this also adds to the Jazzmaster-like quality. Strictly speaking, it's not a Jazzmaster, but it's similar enough that you can get a feel for it. The current settings may be difficult for those who play blues, classic rock, or punk rock, but on the other hand, they can be used for music such as post-rock, shoegaze, and indie to create a sense of spaciousness and unique decadence. I feel like I'm addicted to it. Of course, if you replace it with the original parts that come with it, you'll get back to the classic Les Paul sound, so feel free to replace it as you like. When remodeling, we verified the sound by changing the PU, pot, bridge, etc. one by one, but it was the pegs and tailpiece that changed the sound dramatically, so if you create the sound around those areas, you might find the settings you like. I don't know. Shipping will be done by Yamato cash on delivery in a gig case. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please contact NCNR. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.
