Suggestive large-sized drawing inspired by Degas' painting "Ballet (L'Étoile)". Most likely it is a study carried out at a young age.
Work by the French painter and illustrator Pierre Eugène Duteurtre known as DUT (1911-1989).

Part of a large collection of drawings by the French artist that we recently purchased and which you can find in our shop.

Short biography of the author:
Pierre Eugène Duteurtre known as DUT was born in 1911 in Deuil-la-Barre (Val-d'Oise, France), he was a French cartoonist and painter who began his career in 1930 at the Société parisienne d'édition (SPE), in 1947 he began to work at the Marijac publishing house. After a long career full of successes, in 1968 he abandoned comics to dedicate himself exclusively to painting. He died in 1989 in the Netherlands.
