This is a lot of two black & white press photos showing two Ro-Ro ferries being used as STUFT (Ships Taken Up From Trade) by the British forces during Exercise PURPLE WARRIOR off south-west Scotland in November 1987.  They are :

  • MV Norröna of the Smyril Line (now MV Logos Hope) with a military landing craft in the foreground.   The photo is 250mm x 160mm and has a stamp from the Royal Marine Photographic Section on the back.
  • an unidentified vessel of the Mercandia Line with a small military landing craft in the foreground.  The photo is 250mm x 180mm and has a stamp from the Royal Marine Photographic Section on the back.

The photos are in fair condition with a few marks on the back.
