Here is a vintage microphone, repurposed by Eight Button Mics. This microphone consists of the following-
Circular spring frame and brass body from an Ace carbon microphone(1930’s).
Stem and output socket from a contemporary mic.
Capsule and circuit board from a small diaphragm condenser microphone.(Audio Technica).
This lovely reimagined mic is now a cardioid pattern condenser and requires 48v phantom power. The new capsule is mounted into the very vintage body that dates back to the early 1930’s. It was originally a carbon type, which had long become dysfunctional. However the body is in good vintage condition. So in an effort to resurrect this beautiful piece it was repurpose time!
The spring frame would originally sat on a base for table top use, not very practical. So it has been mounted onto a stem that contains the preamp circuitry and xlr output. The end result is a great sounding studio/stage mic with heaps of mojo!
It comes in a hard case and will be supplied with a very good fitting mic clip for stand mounting.

This microphone is similar to another of my listings. However with this having a metal body it would be more practical as a live performance mic should you want the great retro look.

I have another of this model listed should you require a pair. For you and a friend….and if you don’t have any friends, buy one for the cat!

Please see my other listings for more audio/music equipment.
