The Technics SL-5200 is a rare 2-speed Semi-Automatic Direct Drive turntable from 1978 that still out-performs most modern turntables. It has become very sought after due to it's cool retro styling and amazing performance.

The Technics SL-5200 features a high performance circuit and full-cycle detection FG for quartz phase-locked control of integral structure superior in rotational characteristics.


The Double-TNRC vibration damping construction is a newly developed material high in damping and superior in attenuation characteristics.


A low-mass gimbal bearing tonearm is used, with an arm friction of 7mg and muting circuit.


Equipped with a stylus illuminator, the SL5200 facilitates selection of music even in a dark place.


For greater convenience, the tonearm is raised and lowered softly be a viscous damped cueing lever and returns to the armrest automatically.
