STUNNING BOTANICAL GLASS & BRASS PENDANT LIGHTS
Excellent condition, rare as a pair.
Top quality hand blown very thick and heavyweight pressed glass pendant lights.
The glossy amber glass is all in excellent condition - no cracks, just a couple of small nibbles around the fitting rim which are not visible when fitted.
Lovely heavy glass with very good detail and crispness to the manufacture.
Mounted on a gorgeous solid brass domed gallery and complete with solid brass stem and hook.
Brass gallery also in excellent condition with only minimal signs of age. Nice and shiny.
A couple of very small splits in the brass around the edge, but not visible when hanging and doesn't affect the strength.
Reminiscent of Limburg lighting, however it's likely made in Britain with British Standard components. No makers marks.
Dating to c.1970s, possibly earlier. Very rare and unusual original light fittings.
Brass section is around 24cm high and 24cm wide.
Glass approx. 22cm wide and approx. 12cm high.
The complete light (brass and glass) is around 33cm tall to the hook.
Can easily be hung to any length of chain. Chain not included but can be supplied at your request.
Fitted with a solid brass bulb holder with an earth connection to comply with modern electrical standards.
Will need to be wired in to your own ceiling rose.
Standard BC bayonet bulb fitting - bulb not included.
Presents as an Art Nouveau / Art Deco piece and has the weight and quality to match.
Would look great in an entrance hall, or over a dining table or bedside cabinets. Suitable for a bar or hotel.
