Schwerpunkt 80’er Jahre.Es ist eine bunte Mischung aus OriginalProps, Props die aus original Formen kommen oder aus Formen, die von original Props angefertigt wurden.Als Maskenbildner habe ich alle diese Artefakte professionell restauriert und zur Präsentation aufbereitet. Alle Masken und Props sind zur Bewahrung ihrer Form Schaumgefüllt oder auf stabile Untergründe montiert.

 

I'm dissolving the main part of my masks and props collection from the horror / SF and fantasy film sectors. Focus on the 80s.It is a 
colorful mix of original props, props that come from original molds or molds that were made from original props.As a makeup artist, 
I professionally restored all of these artifacts and prepared them for presentation. All masks and props are foam-filled or mounted 
on stable surfaces to maintain their shape.

 

MANITOU (Der Manitou) 1978 - Manitou Head

Hier haben wir etwas recht seltenes.

Dieser Kopf stellt den indianischen Medizinman Misquamacus dar, der im Film im Nacken von Susan Strasberg heranwächst und am Ende des Films aus ihrem Körper geboren wird.Im Film hält Tony Curtis mit einem Medium eine Seance ab, während dieser Seance manifestiert sich dieser Kopf von Misquamacus aus einer schwarzen Marmortischplatte.Dies ist eine Kopie des Kopfes den FX Legende Tom Burman modelierte.In den 80ziger Jahren bekam Maskenbildner Tim Davis den Kopf, der in der Produktion benutzt wurde, zur Restauration und machte für sich eine Form davon.Kurz vor seinem Tod machte Tim noch eine letzte Kopie aus dieser Form für mich, die ich der Sequenz im Film entsprechend schwarz mit Highlights bemalte.

 

MANITOU (The Manitou) 1978 - Manitou Head

Here we have something quite rare.This head represents the Native American medicine man Misquamacus, who grows on Susan Strasberg's 
neck in the film and is born from her body at the end of the film.In the film, Tony Curtis holds a seance with a medium, during this 
seance this head of Misquamacus manifests itself from a black marble tabletop.This is a copy of the head sculpted by FX legend 
Tom Burman.In the 1980s, makeup artist Tim Davis received the head used in the production for restoration and made a mold of it for 
himself.Shortly before his death, Tim made one last copy of this mold for me, which I painted black with highlights to match the 
sequence in the film.
