This auction is for a GORGEOUS 21" tall all original vintage Valentine "Melanie, the Electronic Walking Doll". I have shown a photo #4 that a doll collector sent me. In addition to Deluxe Reading (eg 1962's Candy Fashion & Bonnie Bride), Sears sold some Happi Time dolls with that head as well. Valentine also sold some Manikins with this head sculpt. This doll has a battery Compartment on her upper back. Doll is marked on the back of her head "21 HH". I do not know what size battery she will take or if it will work, I assume after all these years it may be "non-working". This is a vintage doll and there may be some age wear on her or the clothing, please click on photos to zoom in and view.  She is a plastic vinyl being jointed at the neck, shoulders, hips, knees and ankles. Absolutely beautiful face with open and close blue sleepy eyes that work fine, upper hair lashes, painted lashes below her eyes, single stroke brows and closed mouth with rose blushed cheeks. Her dark brunette hair is in the original set. Ballerina tutu has upper velvet bodice, it is clean and in nice shape, she wears nylons (small hole on one area), there are pink slippers, also a matching dress with snaps at the back and flower in her hair. This doll has been "well stored" over the years, possibly someone can make her work again. I have taken plenty of photos. Please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description.
