1970s Navy Type G-1 Leather Jacket, Flyer’s, Intermediate, Type G-1 (leather flight jacket)

DSA100-75-C(or G)-0331 (1975 manufacturing date)

*USN stamped onto the inner zip wind-flap

*Original (and fully functioning) zipper

Overall assessment: This original US Navy G-1’s leather is in good condition.  The leather is supple (not dry) with no cracking, holes, or split seams. Original zipper in working condition. The collar material is in good shape. The liner is perfect and the manufactures tag is intact. The sleeve knits are in poor shape and waistband knit has some small holes…mostly in the back. Check out supplied pictures carefully for more details. (Note: there are several companies that will replace the knits on these vintage flight jackets. Email us if you need contact info for their services). 

Measurements (lying flat): 

Shoulder seam to shoulder seam (across top of shoulders):  ~19 1/2 inches

Armpit to armpit (across back):  ~23 inches

Sleeve length (from shoulder seam to end of CUFF KNIT…not the end of the leather sleeve):  ~25 inches 

Total length (from top of collar to bottom of WAISTBAND KNIT…NOT the bottom of the leather):  ~27 inches
