I'm sure you know all about these... but just in case...

In the later 1930s, Dinky modified most of their anonymous 24 series cars to make the 36 series, with make-specific radiators rather than the Bentley-type on all the 24 series cars. So the 24 series 2 and 4 seater sports cars became the British Salmson (a slightly obscure manufacturer even then) in 2 and 4 seater guises. They never made the 24c Town Sedan into a 36 equivalent  perhaps because there wasn't much space for a chauffeur figure. Of course the 36 saloons/coupes had the paired tinplate figures in two varieties inside. All very highly collectible now...

Anyway, this one is a little on the scruffy side as you can see but red is rare and there is no sign of zinc pest. The casting is strong and everything is there. I've used a cotton bud and various gentle solvents to get some kind of black wax crayon off the tyres, leaving them looking surprisingly clean. Someone, somewhere, somewhen did a little bit of touching-in with a slightly darker red but that has a very ancient look about it now. One end of the bumper is bent slightly in but you straighten those at your peril. There are minor cracks in the tyres.

So I don't quite know why I'm trying to curb your enthusiasm but all that should have calmed you down.

Then again, if you like patina (which I do) it looks great and it is very rare so... the best of luck.
