The etching is in good condition with some overall toning.  The framing is also good with some signs of light wear.


Emil Singer was an artist and printmaker, born in Czech Republic to Jewish parents, he later lived and worked as an artist in Vienna.  At the onset of World War II, Singer and his wife sought refuge from persecution in America but never made it, presumably dying in a concentration camp in Poland.
