Joni Mitchell Both Sides Now

Both Sides Now was Joni Mitchell’s seventeenth studio album, released on Reprise Records in 2000.  Mitchell only wrote two of the songs, and both were new renditions of songs previously recorded.  The rest of the album is made up of standards– all delivered with an orchestra with some notable musicians including Mark Isham, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock and others.  The album won two Grammy Awards for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album and Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s) for “Both Sides Now.”  The album was graced with a self-portrait painted by the artist.  It was certified Gold.

This is the limited ‘chocolate box’ run released on February 8, 2000 for Valentine’s Day.  It contains several lithographs of other Mitchell paintings and cards with lyric and album info.  This is a SEALED promotional copy (note marker strike through bar code, pictured).
