Up for sale is a fantastic, rarer, 100% original Seiko 6105-8009 “Slim Willard” with the Resist/Resist markings from the Daini Seikosha factory. Straight out of an estate sale. Dates to February 1970, the tail end of this reference and the changeover to the “Resist” marking on the dial and case back. Prior, this reference had the “Proof” marking for the majority of its production run. Thus, the “Resist” was only around for a short while, a matter of months in 1970, making it a harder, more desirable example to find. Dial and handset are in nice condition with some dirt on the lume. Little bit of fade on the chapter ring between 9 and 10 o’clock. All the text is legible and clean. Stainless indices and hands show no signs of rust or damage. The case is unpolished, sharp, and maintains the original factory brushing on top and mirror polished sides. It is in very nice condition with some typical micro scratches but no signs of damage, deep dings, or heavy scratches. You can feel those brush lines on top of the lugs with your fingernail. The only sign of scratches worthy of mention is on the bottom right side of the case. But it does not detract from the overall condition of the case. The bezel has faded to an even silvery-grey with a ghosting effect. There is some aluminum missing from the outer edge of portions of the bezel around the circumference but it does not detract from the printing on the bezel. Overall, a cool patina. The original crystal shows minimal signs of significant scratches, enough so, in my opinion, to be able to re-use to maintain the vintage look and originality. It does not detract from or obscure visibility. The truly visible scratch appears around the circumference edge between 11 and 12 o’clock. The rest of the crystal has very faint micro scratches. Personally, I would re-use it. Case back is clean and threads tight to the case. Crown is original, stamped “Seiko.” The movement is clean and shows a Seiko factory service mark on the inside case back along with “Daini Seikosha Co. LTD.” The movement is also marked “Daini Seikosha Co. LTD.” The balance swings freely. The movement needs a service as with any vintage piece that has been sitting for ages. It works intermittently. The oils are dried out. But everything is in order. The quickset date feature works properly and the date changes over at midnight. The hacking feature works. Gaskets would need to be changed too. Original spring bars fully functional. Attached to a quality, thick nylon, Maratac Zulu strap with solid, beefy stainless hardware. A great piece overall for any Seiko military and/or diver collection!

All photos and video are untouched and taken in natural light coming from the right side of the photo. Any glare you see on the crystal is from the window. Please examine the enlarged photos and video carefully as they are an accurate representation of the condition. I do my best to be as accurate and definitely honest as possible. Please feel free to ask any questions or request further photos. I have a 100% feedback as a seller.
