Offered for sale is this illustrated advertising cover from Simmons Hardware Company in Saint Louis, Missouri and sent in 1936 to International Great Northern RR in Houston, Texas. The logo for Simmons Hardware Company is in red and reads E.S. Simmons Keen Kutter. This is a metered envelope, but the meter amount was covered by a 3c Washington stamp with purple guideline at bottom. The stamp did not receive a cancel. This will make a nice item item for a collection of Missouri postal history or illustrated advertising covers.
