Section seven only. Bound in half leather with beautiful silk boards and silk paste downs.

Elephant folio, external dimensions - 18 ½ inches by 14 ½ inches (47cm x 37cm). All edges gilt.

Five full page monochrome plates plus smaller tinted illustrations in text. Sumptuously produced. Published circa 1895-1900. A number of operas are analysed per volume.
