1967 Mercedes Pagoda 230SL.

Chassis shell which has been stripped and media blasted, all is good condition although will need some light work, new floor plans in the front which is relatively easy. It also has its doors, bonnet & hardtop and in general is one of the better chassis we have seen in this stage of restoration.

We bought this car as a project to create an electric option of the Pagoda as it was a 'chassis only sale' - I have 2 others that are almost finished but as I have a love for these cars I thought a shell that has everything exposed is to good of an option to miss (you can buy a Pagoda and not really know what you are buying until all the paint and blasting shows what's really underneath)

If you want to get a beautiful car then this is what has to happen on that journey, its much better buying a car where everything is visible (unless you have great documentation) and this is half way through, been stripped, media blasted and ready to build back.

But then the seller agreed to sell me all the moving parts, everything that goes with the car including original engine, transmission, seats, soft top, complete chromes (in great order) so we did and now it feels like sacrilege to discard what is a whole car ready to go back together and discard the internal organs. I am in half a mind to do the job myself but have a few cars in a queue already so would be happy that it goes to someone else.

The original car was Metallic Blue (387H) based on its data card so included is a picture of what it should look like back in its original colour. We can do the work and rebuild it if its something the buyer wanted or it can go elsewhere.

Preferably its best the whole car goes together hence the price, this is for everything but otherwise I would suggest the chassis value is £25,000 and the parts value are £20,000 if separated. Should someone want us to build the car then we can offer an estimate for that.

Please do not 'buy it' unless you want to pay the deposit within 24 hours which is £5000.

Thank you.
