“Victoria Cross - The New Order of Valour”

One part of the supplement of the Illustrated London News dated June 20th 1857. one of the pages is coloured - normally there are two title pages (for Army and Naval V.C.’s respectively) and two title pages showing heroic deeds. The other pages detail the awards which had already been given out with stories on how they were won.

No noticeable rips, tears or marks (see photos), other smaller peripheral nicks, minor discolouration etc. A scarce piece of early Victoria Cross ephemera.
