A set of 7, vintage 1960s Mid Century Modern Neodymium / Alexandrite Wine Glasses.


Designed by Sergio Asti & produced in collaboration with the renowned Italian glassmaker Arnolfo di Cambio in Tuscany, Italy.


Dating from the 1960s these are stylish and elegant glasses. They were made in different sizes and shapes, this set is the shorter stem red wine glass, capacity 150ml.


Containing Neodymium or Alexandrite minerals which respond to different light wavelengths. They appear from purple to pink in daylight or incandescent light to blue under fluorescent light, sometimes green under trichromatic light sources.


Mouth blown and with a controlled Bubble within the stem of each glass.


Some variations due to their hand made nature so dimensions and weights are averages.


11cm tall, maximum diameter 80mm, rim diameter 70mm, base diameter 55mm, average weight per glass 380g, total weight of the set is 2.65kg.


They are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or visible wear.


A very rare set of stylish mid century modern yet still contemporary wine glasses.
