Vintage Art Deco Davidson Amber Glass 10/1910 Flower Bowl With No 10 Flower Grid
In production from 1935 to around 1960, this lovely half fluted flower bowl was originally sold as a 2 or 3 piece set, comprising bowl, flower grid and optional Number 2 Five and a quarter inch plinth. This is a two piece set and does not include a plinth.
Davidson catalogue number is 10/1910, number 10 flower grid is marked 4 1/4.
Polished finish to the exterior, frosted finish to the interior giving an opaque look, plain amber glass (not cloud glass).
8cm (3.25") tall (including grid), the bowl is 10.5cm (4.25") in diameter at the rim, 8cm in diameter at the base, maximum diameter 12.5cm (5"). The grid has an external diameter of 11cm and is around 1.4cm in height.
Total weight 596g.
In great condition, no chips or cracks, there are a couple of tiny nibbles of the ribbed lower section, and a couple on the base rim, similarly there are a couple on the bowl interior rim and the flower grid rim. There is what appears to be an internal crack on the grid outer rim, there is no glass loss and no sharp edges, appears to be stable.
these are all minor defects and mostly barely visible.
Lovely example of Davidson's sought after Art Deco Glass.
