STAR GREEN COLOR YEAR 1901

Very rare Star brand typewriter, manufactured in 1901 by Sun Typewriter Company, in New York, USA.

The Star brand is quite rare in itself, but if we find a green Star machine on top of that, we can say that we have a great collector's item. It was marketed by G.Josse & Cie in Paris. Obviously for the French market, as indicated by its AZERTY keyboard instead of the typical QWERTY. And in France all machines have an AZERTY keyboard, made up of the first six upper keys on the left side.

It is a rare machine, quite scarce on the market, hardly any information appears on the internet. It retains the wooden base and the original wooden top. This machine stands out from the typical large desktop models, it is small, compact and lightweight. It is made of cast iron and enameled in green. The most curious thing about this machine is its exhaust system and the character inking mechanism. It has a keyboard made up of three rows and a shift key on the left side. It is decorated with the name of the commercial in gold letters right on the front, on the sides with the name "Star", under the frame "Standard Typewriter" and on the back with the numbers of the different patents. It also has golden lines running along its perimeter.

It is in very good condition and works correctly.
