On offer here is a very nice Colnago racing bike,circa 1980's vintage I suspect,possibly a Colnago Super?.It looks lovely in its purple and white colour combination,has a number of new parts and rides very nicely indeed.
Measuring 54 cm's from centre of bottom bracket to middle of top tube or 55cm centre of bb to top of seat tube.
Full Campagnolo equipment,including gears,chainset,brakes,headset and bottom bracket,Mavic clincher rims on Campagnolo hubs,Cinelli bars and stem,Campagnolo seat post with a Colnago logo'd Selle Rolls saddle.The frame is built from Columbus Cromor tubing.
The bike presents very nicely indeed,the paintwork does show patina and there are a number of areas of paint that have been touched in,but there are no dents or significant damage to the frame.Please study the pictures as they do show the most significant areas that have been touched in.
The bike rides very nicely,feeling tight and rattle free,with sharp brakes and smooth gear selection.The hub bearings are smooth and the wheel rims nice & straight.No play in the headset,bottom bracket or wheel hubs.It has new Veloflex tyres,new Deda bar tape and new brake blocks.Pedals are Shimano 105 clip ins.
Overall a very pretty example of a Colnago,great for any Eroica event or something a bit different from your modern ride.
