The first ship in the US Navy was the 1797 US Frigate Constellation. This coin was minted in 1950s from metal salvaged from this ship.
The coin is rare but this is a good example in fine condition and without the usual hole for threading onto medallion necklace which increases its value (see other examples with holes).
As a bonus I am including at no extra cost a 100 year-old nickel (5 cents) depicting a Buffalo and an Indian, also in good condition (see photos).
