This
is a pretty early Driving School book used at the Skip Barber Performance
Driving School organized by BMW in North America.
It
was essentially the beginning of BMW offering classes for enthusiastic and
safety-oriented drivers to improve and tine-tune their abilities to perform
well using a controlled environment (the driving school) so that they can use
their skill in the real world.
Skip
Barber earned a great reputation in offering E30 M3, and later E36 3 Series
(M3) drivers honing their performance skills. The school set standards
that very few did at the time. This particular book is the early edition,
where an E30 M3 was exclusively used to show the driving skills of a high
performance driver.
The
book was given to participants of the class.
