"The russian NAVY - to the bottom!" FDC Stamp Set

Description

The 'Russian Navy - To the Bottom!' stamp series continues the iconic wartime collection of postage stamps, following the theme of 'Russian Warship Go F... Yourself'

In April 2022, the first stamp in the series, 'Russian Warship, Go...!', depicted the sinking of the enemy cruiser Moskva by the Ukrainian Armed Forces shortly after its release.

"Over the course of the two-year conflict, the Ukrainian Defense and Security Forces have successfully sunk, damaged, or disabled a significant portion of the Russian Black Sea fleet. Notable losses include the dock landing ships Saratov (March 24, 2022), Minsk (September 13, 2023), Novocherkassk (December 26, 2023), and Tsezar Kunikov (February 14, 2024), as well as the guided missile cruiser Moskva (April 13, 2022), salvage tug Spasatel Vasily Bekh (June 17, 2022), attack submarine Rostov-na-Donu (September 13, 2023), and patrol ship Sergey Kotov (March 5, 2024).

The naval battle rages on, with the frigate Admiral Makarov potentially being the next casualty in the ongoing conflict. The ultimate objective of Ukrainian defenders is the complete removal of Russian warships from the Azov-Black Sea region.

The postage set includes a sheet of 'The Russian Navy - To the Bottom!' stamps, a 'First Day' cover, a C6 art envelope, and 2 cards.
