This book was the personal copy of the author Ron Goulart.  I bought it directly from him in 2010.  When it was first published in 1993 he took it to a few comic book conventions and it got it signed by several golden age comic book creators.  Here is the note that Ron sent me about the book:

"As I recall I got part of the signatures at a con held in Westchester County in NY some years ago.  That's one of the few Dan Barry ever appeared at in the last years of his life.  Jim "Fox & Crow" Davis made just one appearance at a con, as I recall, and that was in San Diego.  Most of the other signatures were also from San Diego."



The book is signed by the following:

Ron Goulart  -  Author and comic book historian.

Dan Barry - Golden Age comic book artist whose career in comics started in 1943.  He is best known for drawing the Flash Gordon daily strip form 1951-1990.

Freb Schwab - Platinum/Golden Age comic book artist whose career started with Star Comics #1 in 1937.  He also had work published in some of the earliest DC comic books including Detective Comics #1 in 1937.

Creig Flessel - Legendary Platinum/Golden Age artist who did some iconic work for DC starting in 1936.  Flessel had work published in Detective Comics #1 and drew the covers for issues 2-19.  Flessel also drew the cover of the Action Comics #1 ashcan, and created the character The Shining Knight in Adventure Comics #66.

Paul Norris - Best known as the co-creator of Aquaman in 1941.  Norris also had a lot of work published starting in 1940 for DC and Prize Comics.

Gill Fox - His first published comic book work was for DC in New Adventure Comics #19 in 1937.  He was also an editor and cover artist at Quality Comics from 1939 to 1954 and drew several iconic covers of Torchy and Plastic Man comics.

Jim Davis - (Not the Garfield guy)  This Jim Davis began his comic book career in 1943 and is best known for drawing The Fox and the Crow for DC Comics from 1945 to 1968.

Irwin Hasen - This legendary creator of Dondi began his comic book career in 1939.  He had artwork published in a few of the early issues of Marvel Mystery Comics starting with #4 in 1940.  He then started working for DC Comics where he had work published in Green Lantern #1.  He later created the popular character Wildcat which appeared in many golden age issues of Sensation Comics.

Gil Kane - His career in comics spanned 6 decades and began in the Timely issue Tough Kid Squad Comics #1 in 1942.  He did a ton of work for DC in the 1950s and 1960s, and for Marvel Comics in the 1970s.  Kane co-created the modern versions of The Green Lantern and The Atom for DC Comics, and co-created Iron Fist and Adam Warlock for Marvel.

Joe Kubert -  This legendary artist's career in comics began in 1942 and continued well into the 2000s.  He is best known for his work on Hawkman and Sgt. Rock at DC Comics.  He founded The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art in 1976 which is still going strong today.

Chad Grothkopf - His career started at DC with Adventure Comics #48 in 1940.  He is probably best known as the creator of Hoppy the Marvel Bunny, the funny animal version of Captain Marvel for Fawcett.  He often signed his work simply as "Chad".

Vin Sullivan - He produced a significant amount of artwork for the earliest DC comic books starting with New Fun #3 in 1935.  He also drew the cover for Detective Comics #1.  Sullivan was also the editor for Superman's first appearance in Action Comics #1.  Sullivan later formed the popular comic book publisher Magazine Enterprises in 1943.  

Will Eisner - This legendary artist's career in comics started in 1936.  He created the popular character The Spirit in 1940.  Eisner also created one of the first graphic novels, A Contract with God.  The Eisner Award was named in his honor.

Some of the signatures are very rare and the collection of autographs in this book is most likely unique!
