Rare All Brass Nepalese Ram Dao Sword with Blade Inscription. This piece measures 30” in total length and is made in the exact form of a Nepalese Ram Dao sword but it is made in all brass. Most likely a ceremonial or religious object as it does not have an edge. The handle is cylindrical with a cone shaped pommel. It has been made with an imitation bolster with the spine even being thicker in this section than the rest of the blade. The blade has eyelash marks all the way down the spine on both sides and includes the “eye” towards the tip as you see on steel blades. There is an inscription on the blade on one side. This is the first Ram Dao I have ever seen made all in brass but it is well made and very much follows what a 19th century Ram Dao would look like. A rare one of a kind object.
